A Writing Professional - New Definition

Published by catrina under Uncategorized Edit This

Writer: (per dictionary.com )

1. a person engaged in writing books, articles, stories, etc., esp. as an occupation or profession; an author or journalist.

Once upon a time this applied to writers for newspapers, magazines and print newsletters.  Once upon a time the notion of writing with out a degree, even with talent, was unheard of. Today that is quite different. When the internet came into exsistance the world of the writer was blown to bits. How so? A talented writer willing to research information in great detail and reproduce the research can now earn a living without an English degree. Now it is helpful but there are so many opportunities, and litterly millions of websites online, writers are in demand. With the options on the world wide web, the work choices are not limited to technical writing, and article or blog content. There are forum posters, blog commenter, forum moderator, editor, and many other writers choices. The tough questions are, how to get started? Where do you get started? What are all of the options? Who is hiring? Is contract or freelance better?

It will be the goal of this blog to identify, answer and clarify those questions. Please as we go don’t hesitate to contribute. I am looking forward to being your guide to a write from home job.
